Like many of you, we loved burning candles and filling our home with wonderful scents. We would buy candles from popular big box stores and burn them all the time. We never gave it a second thought until we started to notice the black soot. It was on our windows, picture frames and even coating the walls of our home. Thinking it had to do with our heating system, we called the furnace company and when they found nothing wrong, we did a little more digging and realized where the soot was coming from... it was from burning the candles! The thought that we had been unknowingly breathing in that soot for so long was unsettling…
